Welcome group members

First off, thank you for your service to our great country. Without patriots like you, America wouldn’t be as great as it is today.

On this day, I’m also happy to announce that our group has taken a big step forward in creating a network of networks. A few of the updates are listed below and please keep in mind that all of these have one goal in mind and that is putting together a network of networks that allows our members to leverage existing contacts, programs, and opportunities that will help them in their business / professional career.

A few updates to announce.

  1. We have added a new member to our Council of Directors. Including myself, the council now includes:
           a. Scott Jensen – Founder of Alpine Global Solutions. Scott is our Operations Director and is leading our expansion.
    b. David Dadich –
Executive Director at Bart & Associates. David is our Membership Director and will be instrumental in building our membership group and also working with Scott in the planning and execution of our member programs.
    c. Aaron Spatz –
Founder of Bold Media and Waypoint Technologies. Aaron is our Marketing and Communications Director and will be instrumental in getting the word out on the programs we are supporting or sponsoring.
  2. New Name – We have now renamed our group the Veteran Executive’s Network (VEN). We feel this is a more appropriate name and will help keep the group focused on keeping a tight profile of business decision makers.
  3. New Website – Seeing LinkedIn has made it more difficult to communicate through it’s groups, we’ve now created a website that will ultimately become our major platform for information. The website is up and running but is in the process of being built out. There will be a member only section where VEN members will be able to more effectively network and engage other members that will facilitate business development and partnerships. You can view the initial website at https://veteranexecutivesnetwork.com/
  4. Partnerships / Affiliations – We have begun building out partnerships with other major veteran support organizations and will be introducing our members to these programs.  Our partnership growth is early in its development and will grow over the coming weeks and months.  Two organizations we will be working with include:
a National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NSVBC) – The National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC) is the largest non-profit trade association in the country representing veteran- and service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (VOSB and SDVOSB) in the Federal marketplace. NVSBC works to ensure that veteran small businesses are given first consideration for federal prime and subcontract procurement opportunities.       b. Institute for Veterans & Military Families (IVMF) –    We have just begun working closely with the IVMF to help our members take advantage of any of the many programs they have.  Just a few include but aren’t limited to:
           i. Coalition for Veteran Owned Business (CVOB)        – The CVOB is a coalition of industry leaders committed to providing innovative solutions and thought leadership to grow and support veteran- and military spouse-owned businesses in communities throughout the nation.
ii. Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) is a boot camp-style program focused on growth and tackles head-on topics such as the financial, management, marketing and strategic planning challenges established businesses face.
iii. Center of Excellence (COE) for Veteran Entrepreneurship –
One-stop shop for everything related to veteran owned businesses. Information available to veterans seeking to begin or grow their business as well as researchers, policymakers, and public and private companies interested in veteran business ownership.

These are exciting times for the group and look to support each member in improving their business or career by working together as a team. Please let me know if you have an interest in taking n a leadership role where you’ll be in a great position to work with other members.  This can be a great way for you to build your network as well.

Sincerely,
