Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP)
I had a call with a long time friend about good sources of information and he mentioned this course as a MUST Do for any Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB). The Montgomery County Chamber Community Foundation (MCCCF) Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP) is the first free training program for such business owners.
The Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP) offers 3 programs that focus on:
- Accelerating growth with market-based training across more than 20 topic areas
- Avoiding business land mines while reducing stakeholder risks
- Building relationships with primes, government officials, and networks of national teaming partners
In a recent survey of 426 VIP graduates:

- Graduates increased their revenue by an average of 63% within the first year of graduation
- 82% said they changed the way they do business
- 85% of the VIP graduates are still in business 10 or more years
- 4 of the 7 SDVOSB/VOSB winners of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services SPARC contract are VIP graduates
- Over 1/3 of the VA VECTOR winners are VIP graduates
- The 2019 INC 5000 list features 21 VIP graduates
